World Leader Shinzo Abe, Japan’s Prime Minister whose country is the official Partner Country for CeBIT-2017, announced his vision for the his government’s “Society 5.0” program, to the World.

Digitalization Is For Everyone

“Society 5.0” in keeping with the spirit if #CeBIT and sentiments of all major digital corporations such Microsoft, aims to push ahead digitalization at all levels of society.

Microsoft’s motto at this year’s CeBIT is again “Digital Economic Miracle – Diversity in Moving Forward”.

Their recent survey showed that an increasing number of enterprises were convinced by the benefits of digital technology. The main challenges preventing that move are uncertainties of CEOs and key decision makers. CeBIT will be a platform for them to showcase and discover how technology can penetrate all levels of business and all kinds of work too!

Innovative applications of new advances in Virtual Reality and enhanced capabilities of Smart Devices can make Work and Office Life productive and fun! Not only does the revenue figure soar higher than ever imagined, but you also have breathing space to ideate and plan better products.

As Hitoshi Masuda, representing the External Trade Organisation of a world technological leader – Japan, explains:

“Manufacturing itself is very important. So connecting the real world of manufacturing and the virtual world of information technology, that’s the key…”

Blurred Boundaries

“We do see that innovation is no longer linear, as it used to be in previous years,” say Hartwig von Sass, CEBIT spokesman,“Now it’s exponential development, technical developments converge together, and develop a disruptive power in many sectors of the economy.”

With major leaps and bounds being made in electronic sciences like the Internet of Things (IoT) connecting real life with virtual reality or artificial intelligence (AI), all those ‘Science-fiction’ dreams attainable!

Fight Or Flight?

The Internet of Things (IoT), is an especially promising technology that endeavors to network all electronic devices with each other digitally, and even enable them to collect data and function autonomously, without needing human input.

Judging from the popular and in-vogue tech showcased at CeBIT 2017, we are very well heading towards a future where human intervention may reduce to a bare minimum for electronic devices to function, monitor, collect data and perhaps even compute and ‘think’.

Having said that, instances where technology has harmed humanity is null as compared to situations where people have inflicted great pain on their ‘fellow’ inhabitants without any remorse or after thought.

It would very well be safe to say that technology has far greater benefits and too little to fear to ignore and shun from our lives. Instead we must embrace all the advantages it brings in making our lives simpler, richer and more comfortable!

As the famous American President John F. Kennedy, once said,“The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word ‘crisis.’ One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger–but recognize the opportunity.”

Don’t let the future go, and follow CeBIT and the event participants’ services to stay in the technological know how of a digital future!
